Baseball Players of the Week
Eric Fredette - Massachusetts
Junior, 2B, 5-8, 165 lbs.
Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury HS

Fredette collected 14 hits in 22 at-bats (.636) with 10 RBI and seven runs scored over five contests...had at least three hits in four of Massachusetts' five games...hit a game-tying three-run homer in the eighth inning on Apr. 24 as UMass rallied for a 10-9 win versus Saint Louis...scored a career-high four runs on Apr. 21 in the Minutemen's 15-11 victory over Harvard...added three walks...boasts a 13-game hitting streak.

Ryan Rivers - Charlotte
Junior, 1B, 6-5, 231 lbs.
Baltimore, Md./Eastern Technical HS

Rivers batted .579 (11-for-19) with nine runs scored and a pair of home runs in five games...had four multi-hit performances and drove in seven...added three walks and a pair of doubles...went 3-for-5 with two homers on Apr. 23 in Charlotte's 7-4 win over GW...tabbed the A-10 Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Bryan Leigh - Massachusetts
Senior, RHP, 6-1, 195 lbs.
Somerset, Mass./Somerset HS

Leigh earns his second consecutive A-10 Pitcher of the Week honor after tossing eight shutout innings on Apr. 24 in Massachusetts' 12-0 win over Saint Louis...scattered four hits and fanned a career-best 11...extended his scoreless innings streak to 15...improved to 3-0 over his last three stats.

Baseball Rookies of the Week
Ryan Cusick - Massachusetts
Freshman, 2B/DH, 5-8, 160 lbs.
Gloucester, Mass./Gloucester HS

Cusick scored at least two runs in four games and had three multi-hit performances on the week...went 6-for-13 with five runs scored in Massachusetts' three-game series versus Saint Louis...added a pair of walks and two doubles...hit .409 (9-for-22) over the five games.

Eddie Gray - St. Bonaventure
Freshman, LHP, 6-3, 185 lbs.
Pulaski, N.Y./Pulaski Senior HS

Gray won his third consecutive decision after allowing one run on five hits over seven innings on Apr. 24 as St. Bonaventure edged Duquesne, 4-1...struck out a season-high seven batters to improve to 4-3...named the A-10 Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Softball Player of the Week
Caitlin Trevillyan - Saint Louis
Junior, Outfield, Grayslake, Ill. /Carmel HS

Trevillyan led the Billikens with a .556 average, a 1.556 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base percentage in six games last week...in SLU's four A-10 tilts, the junior outfielder hit .600 and slugged at an astonishing 2.400 clip., while belting three home runs...went 2-for-3 with two runs in the Bills' midweek victory at Loyola-Chicago...in the Rhode Island series, she went 3-for-4 with three home runs, four runs scored and six RBIs...tied the school record for home runs in a game for the second time in her career, while also matching her career highs for runs and RBIs in a game.

Softball Pitchers of the Week
Erin Gallagher - Saint Joseph's
Sophomore, Pitcher, Abington, Pa./St. Basil Academy

The Hawks' ace went a perfect 3-0 on the week with a 0.00 ERA and three-complete games as the Hawks went 3-0...against Lafayette, Gallagher brought a no-hitter into the seventh inning before giving up a bloop hit...she followed with five no-hit innings in game one against George Washington, finishing with a game-high 10 strikeouts...capped off the weekend by holding the Colonials to just two hits in SJU's 1-0 win...averaged 1.04 strikes per inning, while holding opposing batters to .074 at the plate...the award is Gallagher's second of the season.

Jen Mineau - Fordham
Sophomore, Pitcher, Schaghticoke, N.Y./Hoosic Valley Central HS

Mineau went 3-0 last week on the mound for Fordham, posting three shutouts and 38 strikeouts in 19 innings of work...in the circle for the Rams against Temple on Apr. 23, Mineau pitched her second no-hitter of the season and the fourth of her career...also with her win at Temple on Apr. 23, Mineau became Fordham's single-season wins leader with 25 victories in the circle...currently has a 26-5 record as a starting pitcher and has tallied 396 strikeouts with a 0.70 ERA...the award marks Mineau's fourth of the season.

Softball Rookie of the Week
Bri Gwaltney - Charlotte
Freshman, First Base, Anaheim Hills, Calif./Canyon HS

Gwaltney recorded a hit in every game of the week including two for extra-bases in the series opener against Elon...against the Phoenix, she blasted her fourth homer of the season, the fourth-most hit by a Charlotte freshman...on the week, Gwaltney drove in three runs to push her season total to 25, which is the fifth-most by a Niner freshman.

Competing at the Rutherford Intercollegiate, Edmondson finished in a tie for fourth out of 78 competitors with a three-round total of 221...shot a 72 on each of the first two days...marked his first career top-five finish.

Golf Rookie of the Week
Jason Del Rosso - Fordham
Freshman, Orlando, Fla./Bishop Moore HS

Del Rosso placed in a tie for fourth at the rain-shortened Northeast Invitational on Apr. 24 with a four-over 75...fired a 35 on the back nine, the lowest score of the round...field consisted of 58 golfers...finished tied for 10th at the Mount St. Mary's Spring Invite (Apr. 19-20) with a three-round total of 232.

Women's Track & Field Performer of the Week
Lisa Wilson - Massachusetts
Senior, Holden, Mass./Wachusett Regional HS

At the UNH Pre-Conference Meet, Wilson set UMass records in the shot put (48-00 3/4) and hammer throw (176-02) and grabbed first place in both events...also took first place in the discus with a mark of 150-03...this is the third straight week that Wilson established a school record in the shot put.

Women's Track & Field Rookie of the Week
Katie Nageotte - Dayton
Freshman, Olmstead Falls, Ohio/Olmstead Falls HS

Nageotte set a school record in the pole vault and took first place in the event with a mark of 12-09 1/2 at the Ashland Alumni Open...her vault is the best in the Atlantic 10 this season and qualifies Nageotte for the junior national meet.

Men's Track & Field Performer of the Week
Brian Miller - Massachusetts
Senior, Foxboro, Mass./Foxboro HS

Miller took first place in the high jump at the UNH Pre-Conference Meet and set a school record with a mark of 6-08 1/4...the jump also qualified Miller for the IC4A Championships...he previously qualified for the New England Championships

Men's Track & Field Rookie of the Week
David Gibson - Xavier
Freshman, Flint, Mich./Carman Ainsworth HS

Gibson posted a time of 21.74 to win the 200m dash at the Stan Lyons Invitational, and he later finished second in the 100m dash with a time of 11.00...Gibson has finished first or second in all of his 200m events during the outdoor season.
