Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Kyle Patterson - Saint Louis
Senior, Midfielder, Birmingham, England/Plantsborrk Secondary School

Patterson had three goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for Saint Louis...notched eight points on the week and had both game-winning goals in a 3-0 win versus UC Riverside on Sept. 5 and a 5-1 romp over Portland on Sept. 7...scored the first two goals versus UCR and had an assist for a five-point day...assisted on opening goal versus Portland and added the game-winner later in the first half.

Men's Soccer Rookies of the Week
Aaron Markowitz - Fordham
Freshman, Forward, Hastings-On-Hudson, N.Y./Hastings HS

Markowitz had a pair of crucial assists in the Rams' two matches this weekend...assisted on the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Delaware on Sept. 5...got the assist on the go-ahead goal against Lehigh on Sept. 7, before Lehigh tied the team at two in the second half...leads the Rams in scoring with four points.

Jonas Reiter - Saint Louis
Freshman, Forward, Redondo Beach, Calif./South Torrance HS

Reiter notched two goals on the weekend with his first career two-goal game in a 5-1 win over Portland on Sept. 7...had nine shots on goal on the weekend and helped the Billikens claim co-champs at the Diadora Challenge at Creighton.

Women's Soccer Players of the Week
Vanessa Patry - Massachusetts
Senior, Forward, Delmar, N.Y./Pope John Paul II HS

In Massachusetts' lone contest of the week, Patry matched her career high with a pair of goals in a 2-2 draw versus New Hampshire on Sept. 4...had a team-high six shots.

Whitney Weinraub - Charlotte
Sophomore, Forward, Holland, Pa./Council Rock South HS

Weinraub earns her second A-10 Player of the Week award in as many weeks after scoring a pair of goals in two matches...scored her first game-winning goal of the season and third of her career in Charlotte's 1-0 win over Pittsburgh on Sept. 7...tallied the 49ers' lone goal in their 1-1 draw against Ohio State on Sept. 5...leads the team in goals (five) and points (11).

Women's Soccer Rookies of the Week
Dana O'Brien - La Salle
Freshman, Forward, Warminster, Pa./William Tennent HS

O'Brien scored a goal in La Salle's 2-1 win over Loyola (Md.) on Sept. 5 and 3-2 setback versus Villanova on Sept. 7 at the Villanova Classic...recorded five shots on the weekend...garnered All-Tournament honors...leads the team with three goals.

Hannah Perry - Saint Louis
Freshman, Goalkeeper, Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North HS

Perry posted a pair of shutouts as Saint Louis went 1-0-1 at the Toys For Tots Tournament in St. Louis, Mo...tied the facility record for saves by a SLU keeper with 10 in the Billikens' 1-0 win over Nebraska...named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts.

Field Hockey Player of the Week
Katie Kelly - Massachusetts
Sophomore, Forward, Dedham, Mass./Dedham HS

Kelly scored three goals over the weekend, two of which were game-winners against Dartmouth on Sept. 5 and Northeastern on Sept. 7...scored three out of the team's four goals for the week to lead the Minutewomen to a pair of road victories...now tied for the team lead in goals (three) and points (seven).

Field Hockey Rookie of the Week
Alesha Widdall - Massachusetts
Freshman, Goalkeeper, Whitney Point, N.Y./Whitney Point HS

Widdall picked up two impressive road wins over the weekend, earning her second-straight shutout with a 2-0 win at Dartmouth on Sept. 5...made five saves, including several spectacular stops to lead the Minutewomen to a come-from-behind 2-1 victory at Northeastern on Sept. 7...posted an .889 save percentage, stopping eight shots in the two victories...Widdall is now 3-1 in her career and has won three-consecutive games.

Volleyball Player of the Week
Sammi McCloud - Saint Louis
Junior, Rightside Hitter, Columbia, Ill./Columbia HS
McCloud averaged 4.08 kills and 2.67 digs per set en route to All-Tournament team honors at the Billikens Invitational...helped SLU score the biggest win in program history on Sept. 6 when she turned in a match-high 19 kills and had 14 digs in a 3-1 upset of No. 3 Stanford...posted a team-best 13 kills and had nine digs in a 3-1 loss to No. 19 Illinois on Sept. 5...had 17 kills, nine digs and three blocks in a 3-0 win over William & Mary on Sept. 6...added seven blocks, two assists and two aces on the weekend.

Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Liz Homan - Duquesne
Freshman, Middle Hitter, Celina, Ohio/Celina HS

Homan earned UMBC All-Tournament team honors helping the Dukes to a 2-1 record at the tourney...averaged 2.33 kills per set with 28 overall and hit an impressive .456 clip on the weekend...finished the weekend with just two errors and added seven blocks and four digs.

Golf Player of the Week
Lawrence Lessing - Richmond
Senior, Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor HS

Lessing shot a one-over 73 in the first round on his way to a 20th-place finish at Penn State's Rutherford Intercollegiate on Aug. 31-Sept. 2...his three-round total of 226 (73-78-75) helped Richmond place 12th as a team.

Women's Cross Country Performer of the Week
Maureen Bulgrin - Dayton
Sophomore, Munroe Falls, Ohio/Akron Archbishop Hoban HS

Competing at the Queen City Invitational on Sept. 6, Bulgrin finished third out of 105 runners with a time of 18:43.18 on the 5K course...Dayton placed second in the 12-team field.

Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week
Emily Zaccardi - Rhode Island
Freshman, Scituate, Mass./Scituate HS

Zaccardi finished seventh in a field of 50 competitors on Sept. 6 at Central Connecticut State in her first collegiate meet...posted a time of 19:04...was the second URI runner to cross the finish line.

Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week
Tommy Kauffmann - Xavier
Sophomore, Mariemont, Ohio/Mariemont HS

Competing at the Queen City Invitational on Sept. 6, Kauffman finished first out of 109 runners with a personal-best time of 15:37 on the 5K course...Xavier placed second in the nine-team field.

Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week
Travis Mahoney - Temple
Freshman, Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge HS

Mahoney opened his collegiate career in grand style as he won the Monmouth Kickoff on Sept. 6 in a time of 19:23...field consisted of 64 runners...Temple finished second out of five teams.
