A-10 SAAC To Host Back-To-School Sports Clinic
Sept. 19, 2008 PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Atlantic 10 Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is hosting a Back-To-School Sports Clinic on Saturday, September 20, at Duckrey Elementary School in Philadelphia, Pa., from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The clinic is open to all Duckrey Elementary students in the fourth through eighth grades. Attendees will participate in basketball, soccer and track drills while learning what it takes to be a first-class athlete both on and off the field. Students of all skill levels are encouraged to attend and will be provided water, snacks and a chance to win an A-10 t-shirt and various prizes. Admission is free. The A-10 SAAC consists of 28 Division I student-athletes from various sporting teams representing the 14 Atlantic 10 Conference member schools. The committee is assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience and offers input on the rules, regulations and polices that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses.
