Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Tyler Tompkins - Duquesne
Sophomore, Forward, Annandale, N.J./North Hunterdon HS

Tyler led the Dukes to a 2-0 week after notching seven points in two contests...scored the game-winning goal in the 65th minute in a 1-0 win over Robert Morris on Sept. 25...followed with two goals and an assist in DU's 5-0 blanking of Buffalo on Sept. 27.

Men's Soccer Rookies of the Week
Austin Johnson - La Salle
Freshman, Midfielder, Avalon, N.J./Middle Township HS

Johnson came off the bench to score his first two collegiate goals in a 4-0 win over Navy on Sept. 23...was two-for-two on goal attempts on the week...first collegiate tally was a game-winning goal.

John Marshall - Xavier
Freshman, Goalkeeper, Prattville, Ala./Prattville HS

Marshall pitched his first career shutout in XU's 2-0 win over Marshall on Sept. 26 and finished with a 0.50 GAA on the week after a 1-0 loss to No. 20 Kentucky on Sept. 26...made 11 saves in the two contests...also added an assist on the game-winning goal versus Marshall.

Women's Soccer Players of the Week
Nicole Markert - St. Bonaventure
Junior, Goalkeeper, Russell, Ohio/West Geauga HS

Market registered a pair of shutouts over the weekend as St. Bonaventure opened A-10 play with a pair of victories for the first time in program history...posted six saves on Sept. 25 as the Bonnies downed Rhode Island, 2-0...made three saves, including one on a penalty kick in the 76th minute, as SBU edged Saint Louis on Sept. 27, 1-0...leads the team with 33 saves.

Whitney Weinraub - Charlotte
Junior, Forward, Holland, Pa./Council Rock HS

Weinraub earns her second A-10 Player of the Week honor of the season and fourth of her career after amassing seven points in a pair of wins for Charlotte...scored a goal in the 49ers' 5-3 win over Duquesne on Sept. 25 and tallied two goals and an assists in Charlotte's 4-0 victory at Fordham on Sept. 27...leads the team with eight goals on the year.

Women's Soccer Rookies of the Week
Emily Cota - Massachusetts
Freshman, Goalkeeper, Green Lane, Pa,/Upper Perkiomen HS

Making her first collegiate start on Sept. 27 at Duquesne, Cota recorded eight saves in Massachusetts' 1-0 victory...notched one save in the final 45 minutes of action in the Minutewomen's 2-1 win over Saint Joseph's on Sept. 25...has not allowed a goal in her last 155:43 minutes of action.

Colleen Williams - Dayton
Freshman, Midfielder, Titusville, N.J./Hopewell Valley Central HS

Williams helped Dayton extend its unbeaten streak to a program-record 10 matches with a goal and two assists in a pair of wins...notched an assist in the Flyers' 4-0 victory over Temple on Sept. 25 and added a goal and an assist on Sept. 27 as UD turned aside George Washington, 4-0...leads the Flyers with five assists.

Field Hockey Player of the Week
Katie Kelly - Massachusetts
Junior, Forward, Dedham, Mass./Dedham HS

Kelly helped #10 UMass to a 2-0 week with three goals in two road contests...notched the game-winner in a 2-1 win at Vermont on Sept. 26 and added two first half goals in a 7-1 victory at Quinnipiac on Sept. 27...leads the club with six goals on the season.

Field Hockey Rookie of the Week
Kara Charochak - Massachusetts
Freshman, Forward, Peabody, Mass./Bishop Fenwick HS

Charochak notched in a goal in each of UMass' two wins on the road this week...made her third and fourth starts of the year for the tenth-ranked Minutewomen...broke a scoreless tie with the first goal against Vermont on Sept. 26...added a goal in a 7-1 win at Quinnipiac on Sept. 27.

Volleyball Player of the Week
Sammi McCloud - Saint Louis
R-Senior, Rightside Hitter, Columbia, Ill./Columbia HS

McCloud paced the Billikens with 4.50 kills, 1.17 blocks and 1.67 digs per set while hitting an impressive .545 clip in a 2-0 week...hit a career and match-high .625 with a match-best 16 kills and three blocks in a sweep at Rhode Island on Sept. 25...had 11 kills, nine digs, four blocks and two aces while hitting .450 in a sweep over Fordham on Sept. 26...has hit over .370 in her last five matches.

Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
Megan Arend - Fordham
Sophomore, Libero, Elk Grove, Calif./St. Francis HS

Arend averaged 5.43 digs per set in two weekend matches...recorded a career-high 26 digs in a four-set loss to Duquesne on Sept. 25...added a match-high 12 digs in a 3-0 loss to #23 Saint Louis on Sept. 26.

Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Sara Scheirman - Duquesne
Freshman, Outside Hitter, Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon HS

Scheirman averaged 3.0 kills and 3.22 digs per set as Duquesne opened Conference play at 2-0...had eight kills and 15 digs in a four-set win over Fordham on Sept. 25...double-double of 19 kills and 14 digs in a five-set come-from-behind win over Rhode Island on Sept. 26.

Golf Player/Rookie of the Week
Jason Del Rosso - Fordham
Freshman, Orlando, Fla./Bishop Moore HS

Del Rosso tied for first overall at the Dartmouth Invitational (Sept. 26-27) with a three-under 139, the lowest two-round total in school history...fired an opening round and school-record 67 (-4), which included seven birdies...Fordham placed third in the 13-team field.

Women's Cross Country Performer of the Week
Maureen Bulgrin - Dayton
Junior, Munroe Falls, Ohio/Bishop Hoban HS

Bulgrin earns her third A-10 Performer of the Week honor after capturing the individual title on Sept. 25 at the Ohio Invitational...registered a winning time of 10:36 as the race was shortened to 3K due to lightning in the area...field consisted of 66 runners...UD placed first out of seven teams.

Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week
Niamh Ryan - Rhode Island
Freshman, Kilkenny, Ireland/Abbey C.C. HS

In just her second collegiate race, Ryan finished second out of 40 competitors on Sept. 26 at the CCSU/Ted Owen Invite with a time of 18:25.19 on the 5K course...was the top URI finished...the Rams claimed the team title as it downed Central Connecticut State and Bryant.

Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week
Chris Lemon - Dayton
Junior, Bowling Green, Ohio/Toledo St. John HS

Competing at the Roy Griak Invite on Sept. 26, Lemon was the top Dayton finisher with a time of 25:05 on the 8K course...finished eighth overall in a field of 167 runners...named the A-10 Performer of the Week for the third time this season...UD placed seventh out of 18 teams.

Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week
Julian Saad - Fordham
Freshman, Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull HS

Saad placed 12th overall at the Fr. Leeber Invitational on Sept. 26 as Fordham finished first in the nine-team Invitational...posted a time of 25:56...field consisted of 112 competitors.
