Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Alex Torda - Dayton
Junior, Midfielder, Dallas, Texas/Nolan Catholic HS

Torda led all league players with seven points on the week after three goals and an assist to help the Flyers to a 2-0 start in Conference play...scored in the second minute in a 3-1 win over George Washington on Oct. 12 and assisted on the game-winning goal...notched the first two goals in a 4-3 win over Richmond on Oct. 10...leads team with six goals on the season.

Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week
Tom Kalpokas - La Salle
Freshman, Forward, Philadelphia, Pa./North Catholic HS

Kalpokas scored the first three goals of his career in a 1-1 weekend against two ranked opponents...tallied both goals in La Salle's 3-2 last-minute loss versus No. 9 Saint Louis on Oct. 10...both tallies were go-ahead goals...scored the game-tying goal to lead the Explorers to a 3-2 win over No. 21 Charlotte on Oct. 12.

Women's Soccer Players of the Week
Hailey Beam - Charlotte
Junior, Midfielder, Cornelius, N.C./Texas Tech University HS

Beam scored two goals and added a pair of assists on Oct. 12 as Charlotte turned aside Saint Joseph's, 8-0...named the A-10 Player of the Week for the second time this season...her 11 goals are a career high and leads the league with 31 points.

Courtney Bosse - St. Bonaventure
Sophomore, Forward, Carmel, Ind./Brebeuf Jesuit Prep HS

Bosse's fifth goal of the season and first game-winning tally of the year lifted St. Bonaventure to a 2-1 (OT) win over Richmond on Oct. 12...added a goal in the Bonnies' 2-0 win over George Washington on Oct. 10...ranks second on the team in points (12).

Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week
Lindsey Rowe - George Washington
Freshman, Goalkeeper, Richmond, Va./Godwin HS

Rowe recorded nine saves en route to her fifth shutout of the season on Oct. 12 as visiting George Washington earned a 4-0 win at Duquesne...made three saves in the Colonials' 2-0 setback at St. Bonaventure on Oct. 10...has amassed 81 saves on the year.

Field Hockey Player of the Week
Katelyn Orlando - Massachusetts
Senior, Forward, Manchester, Mass./Manchester-Essex HS

Orlando scored three goals in a week that saw the Minutewomen start 2-0 in Conference play...scored two goals, including the game-winner, in UMass' 3-1 victory at Richmond on Oct. 10...tallied her fourth game-winner of the season in the Minutewomen's 5-0 victory over Saint Louis on Oct. 12...Orlando is tied for the Conference lead in goals with nine and has scored in five straight games, piling up 15 points during that span.

Field Hockey Rookie of the Week
Ellen Rowe - Saint Joseph's
Freshman, Forward, Selbyville, Del./Sussex Technical HS

Rowe scored on a breakaway with six seconds left in the first half to aide SJU to a 2-1 overtime victory over La Salle on Oct. 10...Rowe now has two goals on the year...marks the second straight week she has earned Rookie of the Week honors.

Volleyball Players of the Week
Sammi McCloud - Saint Louis
Junior, Rightside Hitter, Columbia, Ill./Columbia HS

McCloud averaged 4.78 kills, 2.56 digs, 0.89 blocks and hit .440 to lead Saint Louis to a perfect weekend in A-10 play...hit a career-high .516 with a match-best 18 kills in a 3-1 win at Rhode Island on Oct. 10...added eight digs and two assists, two aces and two blocks...had a career-high 25 kills to go with 15 digs, six blocks, two assists and an ace in a 3-1 win over Fordham on Oct. 11...second Player of the Week award.

Jenn Welsh - Xavier
Senior, Setter, Goodland, Ind./Harrison HS

Welsh averaged 12.86 assists per set and added 2.14 blocks per set in a 2-0 weekend for Xavier...notched a double-double of 60 assists and 10 digs in a 3-2 win over Temple on Oct. 11...added three kills, two blocks and two service aces...had 30 sets, five digs, two kills and an ace and block in a three-set sweep over La Salle on Oct. 10.

Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Valerie Akerhielm - Dayton
Freshman, Libero, Carmel, Ind./Carmel HS

Akerhielm earns her second Rookie of the Week honor after averaging 3.63 digs per game in a 2-1 week for Dayton, including two A-10 wins...started the week with 20 digs in a five-set loss to Cincinnati on Oct. 7...had nine digs in a 3-1 win over Temple on Oct. 10 and followed with 11 digs in a sweep over La Salle on Oct. 11...led by Akerhielm defensively, the Flyers allowed just 28 points against the Explorers.

Golf Performers of the Week
Zach Glassman - Dayton
Sophomore, Highland Heights, Ohio/University School

Glassman bested teammate Rob Chappell in a seven-hold playoff to earn individual medalist honors as the Flyers captured their first tournament championship in three seasons at SBU's Leo Keenan Invitational on Oct. 5-6...shot back-to-back rounds of 71 for his first career championship...second on team in stroke average with 74.4.

Eric Plisko - Temple
Junior, Sugar Notch, Pa./Hanover Area HS

Plisko led the Flyers to a second-place finish and tied for the tournament lead with a two-over and career-best 142 (70-72) at SBU's Leo Keenan Invite on Oct. 5-6...carded a team-best round of 70 on Oct. 11 to combine with an opening round of 74 for a two-over 144 to lead Temple to the team title at the Big 5 Invitational on Oct. 11-12...marked the Owls' first team win since 2005...Plikso, who entered the week as the A-10 leader in stroke average, tied for fifth individually in the tournament.

Golf Rookie of the Week
Michal Oberschmidt - Dayton
Freshman, Cincinnati, Ohio/Archbishop McNicholas HS

Oberschmidt carded a first round, season-best 76 and followed with a 79 in the second round to tie for 32nd overall at SBU's Leo Keenan Invitational on Oct. 5-6...aided the Flyers in capturing their first team tournament in three years.

Women's Cross Country Performer of the Week
Maureen Bulgrin - Dayton
Sophomore, Munroe Falls, Ohio/Akron Archbishop Hoban HS

Bulgrin finished tenth overall at the All-Ohio Championships on Oct. 11 with a time of 18:35...field consisted of 288 competitors...earns her league-leading third A-10 Performer of the Week award this season...UD placed fifth in the 41-team field on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan.

Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week
Elissa Mason - Dayton
Freshman, Greenwood, Ind./Roncalli HS

Competing at the All-Ohio Championships on Oct. 11, Mason recorded a time of 19:30.9...placed 44th in a field of 288 runners...Dayton finished fifth out of 41 teams on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan.

Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week
Andrew Mulvaney - Massachusetts
Junior, South Hadley, Mass./South Hadley HS

Competing at the New England Championships on Oct. 11, Mulvaney finished ninth overall with a time of 25:00...field consisted of 316 runners...UMass placed fifth out of 47 teams.

Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week
Brian Riley - Fordham
Freshman, Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side HS

Riley earns his second A-10 Rookie of the Week award after posting a time of 26:32 at the Metropolitan Championships on Oct. 10...finished 12th out of 139 runners...Fordham placed fourth in the nine-team field.
