Men's Soccer Player of the Week
David Martin - Charlotte
Sophomore, Goalkeeper, Timnath, Colo./Fort Collins HS

Martin allowed just one goal and posted 14 saves in 200 minutes of action against Rhode Island and UMass to help Charlotte to a 1-0-1 week...recorded a shutout with six saves in the 49ers' 1-0 victory over previously unbeaten (in Conference play) UMass on Oct. 21...added eight saves in a 1-1 tie versus Rhode Island on Oct. 19...has recorded four shutouts this season and has 11 career shutouts.

Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week
Colin Baker - Saint Joseph's
Freshman, Forward, North Wales, Pa./La Salle HS

Baker scored the game-winning goal in the Hawks' 1-0 victory over Richmond on Oct. 21 to help Saint Joseph's to a 2-1 week and 3-0 start in Conference play...it was the first-ever win for SJU over the Spiders in the six meetings...the rookie leads the team in scoring with four goals on the season.

Women's Soccer Player of the Week
Nikki Dumencich - Charlotte
Junior, Forward, Greensboro, N.C./Western Guilford HS

Dumencich scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner in the 60th minute, as Charlotte edged Dayton on Oct. 21, 2-1...marked her second career multi-goal effort and first game-winning tally of the season.

Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week
Katie McDermott - Fordham
Freshman, Midfielder, Tucson, Ariz./Catalina Foothills HS

McDermott recorded the first two-goal performance of her career on Oct. 21 as Fordham turned aside Rhode Island, 4-0...scored her first game-winning goal of the season and added an assist in the contest...ranks third on the team with eight points.

Field Hockey Player of the Week
Alli Lokey - Temple
Midfielder, Senior, Bainbridge, Pa./Elizabethtown Area HS

Lokey scored with 42 seconds remaining on Oct. 19 to give Temple a 2-1 win over West Chester...in a 4-1 victory against La Salle on Oct. 21, she assisted on the first goal of the game and scored the final goal... Lokey now has 17 goals this season placing her tied for first in the nation.

Field Hockey Rookie of the Week
Jen Wrublesky - Saint Joseph's
Forward, Freshman, Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy HS

Wrublesky notched the first two SJU goals in a 6-0 rout of West Chester on Oct 19...also assisted on both SJU goals in a 2-0 win over La Salle on Oct. 21...currently leads the squad with 16 points (6 goals, 4 assists) ...third time that she has been named A-10 Rookie of the Week.

Volleyball Players of the Week
Yue Liu - Temple
Senior, Outside Hitter, TianTing, China/Hai He

Liu led Temple to a 3-0 week with 40 kills (4.0 kpg), 31 digs (3.1 dpg) and 14 blocks (1.4 bpg) and a .355 hitting percentage...had 16 kills, just one error, and had four blocks in a sweep over Villanova on Oct. 17...posted her fourth double-double of the season (13 kills, 13 digs) in a 3-1 win versus Fordham on Oct. 19 and added seven blocks...finished the weekend with 11 kills (just one error), nine digs and three blocks in a sweep over Rhode Island on Oct. 20.

Kelly Ruth - Xavier
Sophomore, Outside Hitter, Elyria, Ohio/Elyria HS

Ruth posted her 11th double-double of the season with 15 kills and 18 digs, both of which were match highs, in Xavier's 3-1 win over No. 12 Dayton on Oct. 19...the win broke Dayton's 21-game win streak...had three blocks in the Musketeers' only match of the week, including two solo blocks which tied a career high for Ruth...was credited with 19.5 points on the night, also a match high...second Player of the Week honor.

Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Christi Griffiths - Fordham
Freshman, Middle Hitter, Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield HS

Griffiths had an outstanding week, averaging 4.43 kills and 0.71 blocks per game in two matches...hit .469 with 18 kills and four blocks against Temple on Oct. 19...recorded 13 kills and a .300 hitting percentage in a sweep over La Salle on Oct. 20...leads Rams with an overall .322 hitting percentage, a 3.54 kills per game average, and a 1.11 blocking average...third Rookie of the Week honor.

Golf Performer of the Week
Corey Nagy - Charlotte
Sophomore, Charlotte, N.C./ Vance HS

Corey's five under (73-70-68) led top-ranked Charlotte to its third-straight victory to open the 2007-08 season on Oct. 16... Charlotte defeated defending national champion Stanford by eight strokes to take the team title at the 16-team The Prestige at PGA West...final round of 68 was the lowest of the day and included seven birdies...Nagy placed third individually and now has a pair of top-three finishes in the 49ers' three events this year.

Golf Rookie of the Week
Andrew Mason - Temple
Freshman, Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Abington Friends HS

Mason earns his second A-10 Rookie of the Week citation after placing ninth out of 69 competitors at the Mount St. Mary's Fall Classic (Oct. 19-20)...shot a season-low 71 on Oct. 19, the first under-par score for the Owls this season...TU finished second in the 13-team field.

Women's Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week
Caitlin Napoli - Fordham
Sophomore, Hauppauge, N.Y./St. Anthony's HS

Competing at the Sonny Werblin Invitational (Oct. 19-20) at Rutgers, Napoli captured gold in the 200-yard fly with a time of 2:06.48 and placed second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.79)...placed fourth in the 100-yard backstroke (59.24) and fifth in the 200-yard individual medley (2:10.02)...helped the Rams to silver medals in the 200-yard medley relay (1:50.25) and 400-yard medley relay (3:58.66).

Women's Swimming & Diving Rookies of the Week
Amanda Ciccone - Fordham
Freshman, Suffern, N.Y./Suffern HS

Ciccone placed third in the 50-yard freestyle (24.90) and 100-yard freestyle (53.72) events on Oct. 19-20 at the Sonny Werblin Invitational...finished fifth in the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.54) and swam on the 400-yard (3:36.50) freestyle and 200-yard (1:39.46) freestyle relays that placed second and third, respectively.

Kari Peglar - Xavier
Freshman, Chesterfield, Mo./Lafayette HS

Peglar established program and pool records in the 500-yard freestyle (5:04.70) and 1,000-yard freestyle (10:25.65) events on Oct. 12 as Xavier downed Marshall, 79.5-42.5...swam a leg of the 800-yard freestyle relay that posted a pool-record time of 7:54.45...recorded a pool-record time of 59.47 in the 100-yard backstroke in the Musketeers' 80-42 win over Valparaiso on Oct. 19.

Men's Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week
Juan Moliere - Massachusetts
Sophomore, San Juan, PR/Collegio San Ignacio

Moliere captured gold in the 50-yard freestyle (21.19) and 100-yard freestyle (47.32) events on Oct. 13 in Massachusetts' 124-119 loss to Boston University...swam the lead leg of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay (1:28.45) and the anchor leg of the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:37.34) on Oct. 19 as the Minutemen downed Stony Brook, 182-117.

Men's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week
Michael Dahle - Saint Louis
Freshman, St. Louis, Mo./Lindbergh HS

Dahle won the 1000-yard freestyle at the Butler Quad on Oct. 20 with a time of 9:48.22, the third-fastest mark in program annals...also captured gold in the 500-yard freestyle on Oct. 12 at Western Illinois in a time of 4:49.94...has won seven individual races thus far this season.
