Men's Soccer Players of the Week
David Flynn - St. Bonaventure
Sophomore, Goalkeeper, Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township HS
Flynn recorded his fourth shutout of the season and second straight over an A-10 opponent in a 2-0 victory over Duquesne on Oct. 25, SBU's lone game of the week...turned away eight shots in the contest...boasts a 1.02 goals against average and is tops in the Conference with a .835 save percentage.
Alex Torda - Dayton
Junior, Midfielder, Dallas, Texas/Nolan Catholic HS
Torda had five points on the week in leading the Flyers to a 2-0 weekend and keeping UD atop the A-10 standings...assisted on the game-winning goal in a 1-0 shutout over Fordham on Oct. 24...followed with two goals in a 3-1 win over La Salle on Oct. 26...his third multiple goal game of the season...second Player of the Week honor.
Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week
Erkko Puranen - Rhode Island
Freshman, Forward, Visitasaari, Finland/Volonmaan Lukio HS
Puranen scored two goals on the weekend as Rhode Island tied both George Washington, 1-1, on Oct. 24 and Richmond, 2-2, on Oct. 26...notched both goals in the game against Richmond...leads the Rams with seven goals and 14 points and ranks in the top five in the league in goals scored.

Handra amassed seven points over the weekend in leading Charlotte to a pair of victories...assisted on the 49ers' first goal before scoring the game-winner in their 2-1 win versus Dayton on Oct. 24...had a pair of goals on Oct. 26 in Charlotte's 5-0 victory over Xavier on Oct. 26...marked her third multi-goal effort of the season...named the A-10 Rookie of the Week for the third time.

Peterson tied the school record for single-game goals, scoring four times in 10:06 to lead the Spiders to their fifth-straight victory, besting West Chester, 5-1, on Oct. 26...has scored seven goals in previous four games...tied for the team lead in goals (10) and points (24).

Bridget Fonke - Saint Louis
Junior, Outside Hitter, St. Louis, Mo./St. Joseph's HS
Fonke averaged a league-high 4.50 kills and hit .365 on the weekend as the No. 25 Billikens handed Dayton and Xavier their first A-10 losses of the season with a pair of 3-0 shutouts...added 2.00 digs per set, three aces and one assist...led all players with 17 kills and a .452 hitting percentage against Dayton...recorded her 19th match with double-digit kills when she had 10 against Xavier...ranks third in the league with 3.47 kills per set.
Caitlyn Welsh - Rhode Island
Junior, Outside Hitter, Narragansett, R.I./Narragansett HS
Welsh registered 29 kills and 33 digs in two Conference for Rhode Island over the weekend...averaged 4.12 digs and 3.62 kills per set...had a season-high .462 hitting percentage with 13 kills in a 3-0 win over Charlotte on Oct. 24...posted 16 kills and 21 digs in a 3-2 win at George Washington on Oct. 26...has 13 double-doubles on the season and has reached double-digit kills in 10 consecutive matches.

Alyssa Valentine - George Washington
Freshman, Setter, Tustin, Calif./Edison HS
Valentine averaged 9.9 assists per set during GW's 1-1 week...assisted on 99 of GW's 118 kills (84 percent)...added 15 digs and six blocks on the weekend...posted 56 assists, six digs, two kills and a block in a 3-2 win over Fordham on Oct. 24...had 43 assists, nine digs, five blocks and two kills in a 3-2 loss to Rhode Island on Oct. 26...fourth Rookie of the Week honor and second-straight selection.
Golf Player of the Week
Rob Chappell - Dayton

Chappell closed out the fall season with an 11th-place finish at the Austin Peay State University Intercollegiate on Oct. 20-21...carded a 70-68-76 for a 214 total en route to leading the Flyers to a share of a seventh-place finish...leads Dayton in stoke average (73.4), total rounds (14) and best individual round (66) this fall.
Golf Rookie of the Week
Jimmy Bea - Saint Joseph's
Freshman, Southampton, Pa./Council Rock South HS
Bea posted a team-best 147 (74-73) to finish for a share of fourth place in the 70-man field at the Georgetown Invitational on Oct. 20-21...led the Hawks to a ninth-place team finish...third Rookie of the Week honor this season.

Pezzullo posted a time of 16:21 on Oct. 25 at the Central Connecticut State Mini Meet...finished 64th out of 148 runners on the 5K course...URI placed eighth in the 14-team field.

Christa Narus - Massachusetts
Senior, Stony Brook, N.Y./Ward Melville HS
Narus amassed 29 points on Oct. 26 as Massachusetts downed Army, 187-94...won the 200-yard freestyle (1:55.19) and 200-yard butterfly (2:06.84) events and swam the fly leg (24.29) of the winning 200-yard medley relay...posted first-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.81) and 200-yard butterfly (2:06.22) events at Boston University on Oct. 18.
Katie Sieben - Richmond
Junior, Seymour, Conn./Seymour HS
Sieben won the 100-yard butterfly (55.83) and placed second in the 50-yard freestyle (24.23) on Oct. 24 as Richmond dropped a 175-82 decision at No. 19 Penn State...also anchored the 400-yard freestyle (3:34.66) and 400-yard medley (3:53.05) relays.

Monique Lefort - Duquesne
Freshman, Cuff Off, La./Vanderbilt Catholic HS
Lefort won the 200-yard individual medley (2:10.24) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:28.18) events on Oct. 18 in Duquesne's 113-92 win over St. Bonaventure...also captured gold in the 200-yard individual medley (2:09.95) versus Buffalo on Oct. 24.

Juan Moliere - Massachusetts
Junior, San Juan, Puerto Rico/Collegio San Ignacio HS
Moliere won the 50-yard freestyle (21.16) and 100-yard freestyle (47.23) events on Oct. 25 as Massachusetts captured its first-ever dual meet victory (174-126) over Army...swam the anchor leg of the winning 200-yard medley relay in 20.21...had a time of 45.80 in his anchor leg of the runner-up 400-yard freestyle relay.

Joey Sbordon - Massachusetts
Freshman, Franklin, Mass./Bishop Feehan HS
Sbordon won three individual events on Oct. 25 in Massachusetts 174-126 win over Army...placed first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:42.39), 500-yard freestyle (4:40.68) and 100-yard freestyle (9:45.40) events...improved to 2-0 in the 500-yard freestyle and 1000-yard freestyle events on the year.
