Trio Of A-10 Track Standouts Garner All-America Distinction

3/16/2010 - Amanda Goetschius and Darius Law of Charlotte became the seventh and eighth NCAA Indoor All-Americans in 49er history with their performances at the 2010 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. In addition, Dayton's Mallory Barnes became the program's first-ever All-American after placing sixth overall in the weight throw.

Men's Indoor Track & Field Performer of the Week
Isaac McReynolds - Charlotte
Sophomore, Charlotte, N.C./Vance HS

McReynolds won another 60-meter hurdles meet this time coming at the Tiger Paw Invitational, Feb. 13...time of 7.86 broke his school record again and improved his NCAA provisional and USA Champs qualifying time...his performance extends his lead on the A-10 field...also set a personal best in the high jump at 6'6.25" placing fourth in the event.

Men's Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week
Joseph Doyle - Massachusetts
Freshmen, Lancaster, Mass./Nashoba Regional HS

Doyle set the fifth best time in UMass indoor track and field history in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:52.91 at the Valentine Invitational, Feb. 13...also qualified for the New England and IC4A Championships with the mark.

Women's Indoor Track & Field Performer of the Week
Kerri Gallagher - Fordham
Junior, Belle Harbor, N.Y./Bishop Kearney HS

Gallagher broke the Fordham school record in the 800 meters by winning the event at the Valentine Invitational in an NCAA Provisional time of 2:08.56, breaking the old mark of 2:10.76, set by former All-American Lauren Gubicza...became the first Ram to post an NCAA indoor provisional since Kerstin Greene did so in the pentathlon in 2007...time also qualified Gallagher for her third different event at the ECAC Championship at the end of the season...also ran a leg of the distance medley relay that won their heat in an ECAC qualifying time of 12:08.10.

Guglielmo was second to high-school teammate Nicol Traynor in the mile at the UNC Invitational on Feb. 12, with her time of 5:01.03...finished seven seconds clear of third place.
