Whalen won the gold in the men's heptathlon at the Atlantic 10 Track & Field Championships on Feb. 20-21, totaling 4,020 points...included in the overall event was his winning time of 8.07 in the 55m hurdles.
Men's Indoor Track Performer of the Year
Darius Law - Charlotte
Sophomore, Raleigh, N.C./Southeast Raleigh
Law's time of 48.78 in the 400m dash won the event at the Atlantic 10 Championships on Feb. 21...Law also won the 200m dash with a time of 21.77 and ran the anchor-leg of the winning 4x400m relay, which clocked a 3:19.71.
Men's Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Year
Sam Jordan - Charlotte
Freshman, Wilmington, N.C./Laney
Jordan won the 55m dash at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships on Feb. 21 with a blazing time of 6.35 in the 55m dash...member of the winning 4x400m relay, which turned in a time of 3:19.71.
Men's Indoor Track & Field Coach of the Year
Bob Olesen - Charlotte

Olesen was selected as A-10 men's Coach of the Year for the third time in four years after leading the 49ers to the biggest point-total since 2001 (218) and it's third A-10 crown in four seasons.
Women's Indoor Field Performer of the Year
Mallory Barnes - Dayton
Sophomore, Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods
Barnes claimed the A-10's top spot in the women's weight throw, winning the event with a record-setting toss of 62-2 1/4...also took the bronze in the shot put with a distance of 43-2 1/4.

Women's Indoor Track Performer of the Year
Paris Williams - Temple
Sophomore, Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen
Williams won the 500m run at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships with a time of 1:14.13...ran the anchor-leg of Temple's winning 4x400m relay team, which timed a 3:51.76.
Women's Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Year
Courtney Siebenaller - Dayton
Freshman, Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer HS
Siebenaller, a three-time A-10 Rookie of Week selection this year, won the first field event of the Atlantic 10 Championships on Feb. 20 with a record-setting mark of 12-11 1/2 in the pole vault
Women's Indoor Track & Field Coach of the Year

Steinwachs led the women's squad to a second-place finish at the 2009 Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships...the Flyers totaled 152 points, the most they've ever totaled since joining the Conference.
