Men's Indoor Track & Field Performers of the Week
Jason Moore - Charlotte
Junior, Charlotte, NC/Vance HS

Competing at the Virginia Tech Invitational (Jan. 12-13), Moore finished runner-up in both the 55m (6.31) and 200m (21.40) dashes...provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 200m dash.

Sean Quigley - La Salle
Senior, Braintree, MA/Archbishop Williams HS

Quigely placed first in the 3,000m run on Jan. 12 at the New Balance NYC Gotham Cup with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 8:04.25...he also established a school record in the event.

Men's Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week
Jared Davis - La Salle
Freshman, Englewood, NJ/Don Bosco Prep HS

Davis recorded a time of 1:05.45 in the 500m dash and ran the third leg of the 4x400m relay that posted a time of 3:18.94 on Jan. 12 at the New Balance NYC Gotham Cup...the 4x400m relay qualified for the IC4A Championships.

Women's Indoor Track & Field Performer of the Week
Shareese Woods - Charlotte
Senior, Fort Lee, VA/Prince George HS

Competing at the Virginia Tech Invitational (Jan. 12-13), Woods placed first in the 200m dash with an NCAA provisional qualifying and school-record time of 23.65...also registered an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 6.85 in the 55m dash...ran a leg of the 4x400m relay which posted a time of 3:46.56, good for second in program history.

Women's Indoor Track & Field Rookies of the Week
Danielle Brown - Charlotte
Freshman, Raleigh, NC/Southeast Raleigh HS

Brown recorded a personal-best mark of 37-11 ¼ in the triple jump at the Virginia Tech Invitational (Jan. 12-13)...that is the top mark by an A-10 freshman this season.

Jennifer Surabian - La Salle
Freshman, Saugus, MA/Bishop Fenwick HS

Surabian finished fifth in the 800m run on Jan. 12 at the New Balance NYC Gotham Cup with a time of 2:20.73...also ran a leg of the 4x800m relay that placed third in a time of 9:34.74.

Women's Swimming & Diving Performers of the Week
Caitlin Geary - Richmond
Senior, Andover, MA/Andover HS

Geary set a program record in the 1,650-yard freestyle at Maryland (Jan. 12-13) with an NCAA "B" cut time of 16:48.70...also placed third in the 500-yard freestyle (4:58.67), fourth in the 400-yard individual medley (4:29.01) and seventh in the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.84)...Richmond downed Villanova (179-173) but fell to Maryland (186-160) and Pittsburgh (216-136).

Elena Ramirez - Saint Louis
Sophomore, Champaign, IL/St. Thomas More HS

Ramirez captured gold in the 200-yard butterfly on Jan. 13 versus Western Illinois with an NCAA "B" cut time of 2:02.21, the second-fastest mark in program history...also placed first in the 200-yard individual medley (2:10.34) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:23.34)...Saint Louis extended its dual meet winning streak to 50 after earning a 154-87 victory over Western Illinois.

Women's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week
Alex Helland - Richmond
Freshman, Southlake, TX/Carroll HS

Competing at Maryland (Jan. 12-13) with Villanova and Pittsburgh, Helland finished fifth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 57.78, the fifth-fastest mark in program annals...placed fourth in the 200-yard backstroke (2:06.69) and swam a leg of the 200-yard medley (1:46.51) and 400-yard medley (3:51.75) relays.

Men's Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week
Evan Swisher - Massachusetts
Senior, North Bennington, VT/Mount Anthony Union HS

Competing at the Rhode Island Invitational on Jan. 12-13, Swisher won the 100-yard backstroke (53.19) and placed second in both the 200-yard backstroke (1:52.96) and 200-yard individual medley (1:57.35) events...UMass finished first overall with 550 points, ahead of La Salle (501), Rhode Island (327) and George Washington (322).

Men's Swimming & Diving Rookies of the Week
Justin Brooks - Massachusetts
Freshman, Dedham, MA/Xaverian Brothers HS

Brooks captured gold in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a personal-best time of 9:59.63 at the Rhode Island Invitational (Jan. 12-13)...also recorded times of 4:23.95 in the 400-yard individual medley and 4:57.14 in the 500-yard freestyle...UMass finished first in the four-team field.

Sal Cruz - Saint Louis
Freshman, Chesterfield, MO/Parkway Central HS

Cruz placed first in the 200-yard individual medley (2:02.34) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:11.65) events on Jan. 13 as Saint Louis downed Western Illinois, 131-103.
