NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Fordham's Thomas Yi and George Washington's Phillip Graeter were named the Atlantic 10 Men's Co-Performers of the Week, and Fordham's Brienne Ryan was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Performer of the Week, the league announced on Monday. Also honored this week were Fordham's Pat Militti and Xavier's Eric Dirvin, who were named the Men's Co-Rookies of the Week, and La Salle's Collen Larkin, who was named the Women's Rookie of the Week.

Yi, the junior from Honolulu, Hawaii, posted a first-place finish in the 200-yd Individual Medley with a time of 1:57.77, along with recording top times in both the 100-yd Backstroke (:52.64) and the 200-yd Backstroke (1:53.72) in a tri-meet against Boston University and Texas A&M.

Graeter, the junior from Schwerin, Germany, recorded three individual first-place finishes in the 200-yd Butterfly (154.98), the 200-yd Backstroke (1:54.07), and the 200-yd Individual Medley (1:55.22) as the Colonials defeated Towson 141-121. Graeter was also a member of the 200-yd Medley Relay team that recorded a first-place finish and a time of 1:36.54.

Ryan, the junior from New Windsor, N.Y., picked up two individual victories in the 100-yd Backstroke (:55.47) and the 200-yd Backstroke (2:00.80) in Fordham's 158-125 victory over Boston University. Ryan's times in the 100-yd Backstroke and the 200-yd Backstroke are the best so far this season in the Atlantic 10. She was also a part of the 400-yd Freestyle Relay team that posted a time of 3:29.70, which also ranks as the top time so far this season in the Atlantic 10.

Militti, the native of Omaha, Neb., posted his best times of the season in the 100-yd Freestyle (:47.76), the 200-yd Freestyle (1:44.63), and the 100-yd Butterfly (51.70) this past weekend against Boston University and Texas A&M. Militti also served as a member of the first-place 400-yd Freestyle Relay team that posted a time of 3:07.90.


 

 

Dirvin, the native of Austin, Texas, recorded a first-place finish in the 200-yd Freestyle with a time of 1:44.24 en route to Xavier's first-place team finish at the House of Champions Invitational.

Larkin, the native of Campbell Hall, N.Y., posted two individual victories in the 500-yd Freestyle (5:03.54) and the 1000-yd Freestyle (10:21.99) in a tri-meet against Delaware and Rider. Larkin also posted a strong time in the 200-yd Individual Medley with a time of 2:12.46.
