Xavier, GW Advance to Men's Tennis Finals

CINCINATTI, Ohio--The 2012 Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Championship Finals will be a rematch of 2011. No 2. Xavier and No. 5 George Washington both advanced to Sunday's title match with semifinal wins Saturday at the Queen City Racquet Club after rainy weather forced the semifinals inside. The finals will be played at 11:00 am at the primary championship site, the Lindner Family Tennis Center. It will be XU's sixth straight appearance in the finals. Xavier lost to GW in last year's title match. The Musketeers defeated No. 6 Richmond 4-0, winning the doubles point and picked up victories at No. 1, No. 4 and No. 6 singles. Defending champion George Washington upset top-seeded Charlotte, 4-2.Charlotte won the doubles point, but the Colonials picked up victories at No. 1, No. 2, No. 4, and No. 6 singles to earn the victory.
