Radwan, Bradstreet and Kennedy Earn A-10 Baseball Honors
March 6, 2013 NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - St. Bonaventure's Jason Radwan has been named the Atlantic 10 Baseball Player of the Week, while Rhode Island's Mike Bradstreet was named Pitcher of the Week and Fordham hurler Brett Kennedy was named the league's Rookie of the Week for games played February 25 through March 3. Radwan had 14 hits on the week, including multiple hits in five of SBU's six games last week, including a career-high five on Thursday against Mount St. Mary's. The second baseman hit .467 for the week, helping SBU to three wins. Radwan also knocked in seven runs and scored five runs himself. Bradstreet tossed a gem versus Ohio, going the distance in a 3-0 Rams win. Bradstreet took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and faced just two batters over the minimum as he scattered two hits total. Bradstreet needed just 98 pitches for the complete game. He struck out 10 and did not walk a batter in the victory. Kennedy was impressive out of the bullpen for Fordham, striking out 13 of the 23 batters faced in two relief appearances. Kennedy struck out a season-high eight and earned the win in relief against St. Peter's on Tuesday. The freshman from Brigantine, N.J. followed that performance with five strikeouts in four innings of relief on Sunday against Lehigh, allowing just one unearned run.
