KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island junior pitcher Sean Furney has been named to the CB360 Primetime Performers Weekly Honor Roll on Tuesday, March 27. He is one of six pitchers nationwide recognized for their respective performances over the past week.

Furney earns the honor after picking up the series-clinching win against Atlantic 10 preseason favorite Charlotte on Sunday afternoon. In his first start of the season, the Warwick, R.I. native allowed just one run on six hits while fanning four over 8.0 innings of work. He also tossed a 1-2-3 inning of relief in Rhody's midweek win over Sacred Heart, finishing the week with six K's and zero walks over 9.0 IP.

Furney is the second Ram recognized by CB360 this season as Milan Adams was selected as a Primetime Performer back in February.
