Congress Congratulates Dayton Men's Basketball On Its 2010 NIT Title

The United States House of Representatives passed a resolution congratulating the University of Dayton men's basketball team for winning the 2010 National Invitation Tournament basketball championship. Nine A-10 men's basketball student-athletes have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court for 2009-10, the organization announced. Representing the conference on the list were Dayton's Dan Fox, Kurt Huelsman and Peter Zestermann; Yves Mekongo (pictured) and Steve Weingarten of La Salle; Rhode Island's Ben Eaves and Will Martell; and Ogo Adegboye and Andrew Bernstetter of St. Bonaventure. Duquesne seniors Bill Clark and Damian Saunders will join a select group of collegiate basketball players for a summer tour of Europe from Aug. 5-15. Clark and Saunders will play for the East Coast All-Stars, a touring team founded in the summer of 2006, who will play a total of five games in Geneva, Switzerland, and Paris, France.
