Rhode Island is now 18-27 all-time in Atlantic 10 Championship play and fell to 3-12 in Opening Round contests.
Today's match-up with Charlotte was the first in Atlantic 10 Championship play. The Rams are now 2-5 all-time versus Charlotte and have lost two straight.
Junior Jimmy Baron reached the 20-point plateau for the sixth time this season, scoring a game-high 25 points.
Sophomore Keith Cothran registered a season-high five steals.
Head Coach Jim Baron falls to 9-17 all-time in Atlantic 10 Championship contests and 4-7 at Rhode Island.

Senior Leemire Goldwire led the 49ers in scoring for the 19th time with his 27th double digit scoring effort and 13th contest of at least 20 points
Goldwire has knocked down a three-pointer in every game this year but three with 11 games with five or more triples
