Rhode Island is now 18-27 all-time in Atlantic 10 Championship play and fell to 3-12 in Opening Round contests.
Today's match-up with Charlotte was the first in Atlantic 10 Championship play. The Rams are now 2-5 all-time versus Charlotte and have lost two straight.
Junior Jimmy Baron reached the 20-point plateau for the sixth time this season, scoring a game-high 25 points.
Sophomore Keith Cothran registered a season-high five steals.
Head Coach Jim Baron falls to 9-17 all-time in Atlantic 10 Championship contests and 4-7 at Rhode Island.
