2008 ATLANTIC 10 MEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP NOTES

Dayton's loss is its sixth in Atlantic 10 Championship Quarterfinal Games. They are now 4-6 in Quarterfinal games, with this year's loss marking the second straight season the Flyers have fallen in the Quarterfinals.
The Flyers are now 80-67 all-time versus Xavier and have lost three straight (all occurring during the 2007-08 season).
Sophomore Marcus Johnson set a new career-high in points (26) and free throws (13). His previous highs were 23 points (vs. Austin Peay, 11/11/06) and eight free throws (vs. Saint Joseph's, 3/8/08).
Dayton's 28 fouls were a season high, passing its mark of 26 versus Massachusetts on 1/16/08

Defeated Dayton two years in a row in the A-10 quarterfinals and is 4-0 all-time against the Flyers in the conference tournament

Senior Stanley Burrell made his 120th career start and in the process went over 1,000 minutes played on year for the third-straight season
Burrell's 13 points moves him into a tie for 13th place on the Xavier scoring charts 1,572 career points
Senior Josh Duncan has reached double figures in 16 of the last 20 games and a team-best 22 times on the season
Duncan has also led the team in scoring nine times and has three or more long range field goals on eight occasions
Sophomore Derrick Brown has now led the team in rebound 17 times and his three dunks brought his season total to 60
Senior Drew Lavender has made three or more trifectas in a game five times this season
