NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Charlotte's Javarris Barnett and Dayton's Chris Wright were named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Basketball Co-Players of the Week, while La Salle's Tyreek Duren was honored as Rookie of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.

Barnett averaged 16.5 points and 4.0 rebounds in leading Charlotte to a pair of road victories at Mercer and at Georgia Tech last week. The junior guard from Charlotte, N.C., scored a career-high 18 points to lead the 49ers to a come-from-behind win at Mercer. Wright averaged a double-double with 15.0 points and 11.5 rebounds in leading Dayton to two big non-conference wins over top teams in the Colonial Athletic Association and the Mountain West Conference. The Flyers trailed at halftime in both games and Wright led both comebacks by scoring 25 of his 30 points on the week after halftime. Wright tallied 12 points and nine rebounds in the double overtime, come-from-behind victory over New Mexico on Saturday. The Trotwood, Ohio native finished the New Mexico game with 17 points and 14 rebounds for his sixth double-double of the year.

Duren earned his third A-10 Rookie of the Week honor after averaging 18.5 points and 5.0 assists in two games for La Salle last week. The freshman guard opened the week scoring a career-high 19 points against Towson on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor and a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line. He added six assists and a steal, while committing just two turnovers in 40 minutes of action. In the win over Binghamton, Duren came up one point short of tying his career-high scoring 18 points as he shot 70.0 percent (7-10) from the floor and was perfect once again from the charity stripe connecting on all three attempts. For the week, the Philadelphia, Pa., native shot 68.4 percent from the floor and 100.0 percent from the free throw line. Duren also posted a 2:1 assist to turnover ratio.
