DAYTON 60, SAINT JOSEPH'S 54 | DAYTON HIGHLIGHTS/POSTGAME
DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - Kevin Dillard scored 23 points to lead Dayton over Saint Joseph's 60-54 Wednesday night in Atlantic 10 Conference play.
Saint Joseph's (13-8, 4-4) built a 43-36 lead in the second half. But the Hawks missed four of their next five shots as Dayton rallied to take its first lead of the frame, 47-45, on a Dillard 3-pointer with 5:02 remaining.
From there, teams exchanged the lead five times before Dillard sank a trey, followed by a jumper, to put the game away. Dillard scored the 14 of the Flyers' (13-9, 3-5) last 15 points.
The 6-foot guard hit four free throws in the final 30 seconds and improved to 30 for 30 from the charity stripe this season with less than 2 minutes left to play.
Carl Jones scored 12 points for Saint Joseph's, which hasn't defeated the Flyers since the 2000-01 season.
MASSACHUSETTS 81, RHODE ISLAND 53 | UMASS HIGHLIGHTS | UMASS POSTGAME
AMHERST, Mass. (AP) - Chaz Williams scored a season-high 27 points and dished eight assists as Massachusetts downed Rhode Island 81-53 in Atlantic 10 Conference action Wednesday night.
Williams hit 9 of 14 from the field, 3 of 5 from 3-point range and 6 of 6 at the foul line for the Minutemen (15-6, 5-3), who extended a 41-31 halftime lead into the 28-point victory.
Xavier Munford paced the Rams (6-15, 1-7) with 22 points on 7-of-17 shooting. The rest of the team made just 11 of 37 shots.
UMass knocked down 51.9 percent (28 of 54) from the floor, including 9 of 19 form 3-point range, with Terrell Vinson accounting for three treys in four attempts en route to 13 points.
Rhode Island has dropped five straight and seven of its past eight.
The Minutemen held a 38-27 rebound advantage and dished 19 assists to the Rams' 10.
No. 14 BUTLER 77, ST. BONAVENTURE 58 | BUTLER POSTGAME | BONA HIGHLIGHTS
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Rotnei Clarke scored 17 points and No. 14 Butler defeated St. Bonaventure 77-58 on Wednesday.
Andrew Smith added 13 points and Khyle Marshall and Chase Stigall each scored 12 as the Bulldogs (19-4, 6-2 Atlantic 10) improved to 12-0 at home this season.
The victory pushed Butler into a share of the Atlantic 10 lead with idle VCU (6-2). Charlotte and St. Louis also entered the night with 5-2 conference records.
St. Bonaventure fell to 9-58 all-time against ranked teams, including a 0-29 record on the road.
Demitrius Conger led the Bonnies (10-11, 3-5) with 18 points. Chris Johnson and Marquise Simmons added nine points each for St. Bonaventure.
GEORGE WASHINGTON 79, DUQUESNE 57 | DUQUESNE POSTGAME
PITTSBURGH (AP) - Lasan Kromah scored 19 points as George Washington extended Duquesne's losing streak to 10 games with a 79-57 victory Wednesday night in Atlantic 10 Conference action.
Kromah hit 8 of 17 off the bench for the Colonials (11-10, 5-3), who rebounded from a loss to La Salle that snapped the team's three-game winning streak.
Isaiah Armwood added 14 points and 13 rebounds for George Washington, which shot 50.8 percent (32 of 63) from the field and made 7 of 16 3-pointers.
The win was the 398th for Colonials coach Mike Lonergan.
Derrick Colter paced Duquesne (7-15, 0-8) with 18 points, and Jeremiah Jones added 14.
The Dukes made just 35.1 percent (20 of 57) of their shots, including 9 of 24 from deep, and were outrebounded 47-27.
George Washington opened a 45-35 halftime advantage then started the second half with a 7-1 run for a 52-36 lead with 16:12 left.

SAINT LOUIS 90, FORDHAM 73 | FORDHAM HIGHLIGHTS/POSTGAMENEW YORK (AP) - Dwayne Evans posted a double-double and Cody Ellis scored 22 points off the bench to help Saint Louis down Atlantic 10 Conference-foe Fordham 90-73 Wednesday for its fifth straight win.
Evans finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds and Ellis made 6 of 12 shots, all from 3-point range, in 26 minutes of action. Jordair Jett added 14 points and Grandy Glaze chipped in 10 for Saint Louis, which led wire to wire.
Mandell Thomas paced Fordham (6-17, 2-6) with 22 points and Travion Leonard had 12.
Thomas' layup 2 minutes into the second half trimmed the deficit to five, 44-39, but Saint Louis used a 9-3 run to pull away. The Rams never got any closer than five.
Saint Louis (17-5, 6-2) outscored Fordham 44-32 in the paint and turned 12 Ram turnovers into 17 points. The Billikens dished out a season-high 20 assists with just five turnovers.
TEMPLE 89, CHARLOTTE 88 | DUNPHY POSTGAME | TEMPLE POSTGAME
PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Khalif Wyatt scored 25 points, including a clinching free throw in the closing seconds, to lead Temple to an 89-88 victory over Charlotte on Wednesday night in an Atlantic 10 Conference game.
The Owls (15-7, 4-4), who got a personal season-high 22 points from Jake O'Brien, led by as many as 13 points in the first half before Charlotte (17-5, 5-3) rallied to tie it at 41-all at halftime.
Wyatt hit a jumper to open the second-half scoring for Temple, which led by as many as 10 points after the break. Later, his two free throws with 1:42 remaining gave Temple an 86-78 lead. But the 49ers drew within 88-85 on Denzel Ingram's 3-pointer with 0:28 left.
The teams exchanged turnovers before Wyatt sank another foul shot with 8.3 seconds for an 89-85 lead. Pierria Henry's 3-point basket at the buzzer left Charlotte a point short.
