NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Temple senior Khalif Wyatt its Men's Basketball Player of the Week and Xavier freshman Semaj Christon the A-10 Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced Monday for games played during the week of Feb. 4 - Feb. 10.

Wyatt averaged 22.5 points per game, leading Temple as the Owls top scorer in a pair of one-point TU wins. The guard scored 25 points, dished out four assists, made two blocks and two steals in 89-88 win over Charlotte. He hit a late free throw that gave Temple a four-point lead, allowing the Owls to survive a 3-pointer by Charlotte. A Norristown, Pa., native, Wyatt followed that with 20-point performance at Dayton. He had a 3-pointer with 7.1 seconds left that capped a 14-3 run and put Temple ahead by one and sealed the eventual victory. Wyatt is averaging 24.3 points per game over last nine outings and he leads A-10 with 18.9 points per game. It was Wyatt's second consecutive Player of the Week award and third overall this season.

Christon scored a team-high 16 points to go with a game-high eight assists, a career-high seven rebounds and two steals with only one turnover in Xavier's win at Duquesne. The guard from Cincinnati, Ohio, Christon  claimed his fifth Rookie of the Week nod, shooting 5-of-6 (.833) at the line and was 5-for-14 (.357) from the field in the Musketeers' only game last week.

Butler's Rotnei Clarke had two double-digit performances, scoring 17 points with five assists against St. Bonaventure and 14 points and six rebounds versus George Washington in a pair of Bulldog wins ... BU freshman Kellen Dunham scored 10 points, including a pair of crucial free throws late in the Bulldogs' win at George Washington ... Chris Braswell scored 23 points and had six rebounds, hitting 9-of-10 at the charity stripe in Charlotte's one-point loss to Temple ... Freshman Willie Clayton was nearly perfect from the field for the 49ers against VCU, hitting 6-of-7 (.857) ... Kevin Dillard scored 23 points versus Saint Joseph's as part of a pair of double-digit scoring performances in a 1-1 week for Dayton ... UD freshman Dyshawn Pierre had 10 points against St. Joe's and 11 rebounds versus TU ... Quevyn Winters got his first career start against Xavier and equaled career highs with 19 points and four assists ... Fordham freshman Mandell Thomas scored a career-high 22 points versus Saint Louis on 8-of-13 shooting from the field and 5-of-6 at the line ... Isaiah Armwood turned in a pair of double-doubles  in a 1-1 week for George Washington, tallying 14 points against both Duquesne and Butler and grabbing 13 board at Duquesne and 11 in a narrow loss to the Bulldogs ... GW freshman Joe McDonald averaged 10.5 points in the Colonials two games last week, while also grabbing four rebounds in each game and dishing out four assists versus Duquesne ... Sam Mills tallied 21 points on near-perfect 7-of-8 shooting, all of which came from 3-point range ... Chaz Williams scored 27 points and recorded eight assists in UMass' win over Rhode Island, followed by 11 points and nine assists versus Saint Joseph's ... Rhode Island's Xavier Munford averaged 20.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals in two games for the Rams ... Bona senior Eric Mosley scored a career- and game-high 21 points, including the clinching 3-pointer with 22 seconds left ... Dwayne Evans had two double-doubles to lead Saint Louis to a pair of wins, including a career-high 24 points and 10 rebounds against Butler ... VCU's Rob Brandenberg scored 21 points, 14 of which came in the second half in a win at Charlotte.
