NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Richmond's Justin Harper was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, while Saint Joseph's Langston Galloway was named Rookie of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.

Harper is coming off a week in which he led the Spiders to a pair of wins after averaging 21.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks. The senior forward opened the week scoring 20 points and grabbing nine rebounds in a win at George Washington to complete the season sweep of the Colonials. Harper followed that performance with 22 points on 7-of-9 shooting, while pulling down nine rebounds for the second straight game and blocking four shots against Saint Louis. The win over the Billikens marked the Spiders' 20th victory of the season. The Richmond, Va., native finished the week shooting 66.7 percent (14-for-21) and 80.0 percent (8-for-10) from three-point territory. He has scored 20 or more points in nine of his last 13 games.

For the second week in a row and third time this year, Galloway earned A-10 Rookie of the Week honors. In the Hawks lone game of the week, Galloway tied a career-high with 25 points as Saint Joseph's erased a 12-point halftime deficit to defeat Fordham on the road. The freshman guard was 7-for-13 from the field including 4-of-9 from three-point range. He added four rebounds, three assists and two steals, while not committing a turnover in 38 minutes of action. Galloway, a native of Baton Rouge, La., also connected on seven of nine shots from the free throw line. Sunday's game against the Rams marked the second straight game in which Galloway has scored 25 points.

Richmond returns to the hardwood on Thursday, February 17 as the Spiders take on Temple in a game shown on CBS College at 7:00 p.m. Saint Joseph's is back in action on Wednesday, February 16 as the Hawks host Xavier at 7:00 p.m.

Ramone Moore averaged 24.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Owls - he grabbed a career-high nine rebounds at Dayton...Xavier's Tu Holloway averaged 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists as the Musketeers picked up a pair of road victories including a win at Duquesne to gain sole possession of first place in the A-10...Andrew Nicholson scored 24 points and pulled down eight rebounds in pacing the Bonnies to a win over La Salle in their only game of the week...La Salle's Aaric Murray averaged 19.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 blocks in a 1-1 week for the Explorers...Chris Wright went for 15 points and 14 rebounds against Temple...Charlotte's Chris Braswell notched his fifth double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds at Rhode Island...Nemanja Mikic averaged 17.5 points on 46.2 percent shooting for GW...freshman Dwayne Evans averaged 15.5 points and 11.5 rebounds for the Billikens last week.
