NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference has named La Salle senior Ramon Galloway its Men's Basketball Player of the Week and Duquesne freshman Derrick Colter the A-10 Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced Monday for games played during the week of Feb. 11 - Feb. 17.

Galloway averaged 19.5 points and 8.5 assists to lead La Salle to a 2-0 week for La Salle. The guard from Philadelphia set a career high with 12 assists against Saint Joseph's. It was the most assists by an Explorer since Julian Blanks had 15 on Feb. 6, 2001. Galloway also had 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 at the line. Earlier in the week he scored 23 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out five assists in an overtime win against St. Bonaventure. He was 7-of-8 at the line in that game.

Colter averaged 12.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 4.0 blocks while shooting .706 (12-of-17) in two games, helping Duquesne get its first conference win. The guard from Forestville, Md., posted his second career double-double with 15 points and a career-high 15 rebounds to go along with three big late-game blocks to help DU end an 11-game losing streak in an 84-83 win at Temple. He followed that by scoring 10 points and blocking a career high-tying five shots in a 67-62 loss to Rhode Island.

Butler's Rotnei Clarke lead the Bulldogs in two games last week, scoring 18 versus Charlotte and 22 against George Washington ...Pierria Henry of Charlotte scored 17 points to lead the Niners to a win at Butler while also registering four steals and four rebounds ... Charlotte freshman Willie Clayton shot lights out against Butler, hitting 5-of-6 for the field for 11 points, followed by a 14-point performance at Saint Louis ... Kevin Dillard was perfect at the charity stripe in both of Dayton's games last week, hitting 13-of-13 across the two games to score 17 points (vs. URI) and 15 points (vs. XU) respectively ... UD freshman Dyshawn Pierre had a 15-point, 10-rebounds double-double against Rhode Island ... Duquesne's Andre Marhold scored 15 points and had a career-high 15 rebounds and three late blocks to lift the Dukes to their first A-10 win this season ... Fordham freshman Mandell Thomas scored a career-high 23 points and dished out five assists versus Xavier ... GW freshman forward Kevin Larsen finished a rebound shy of his first double-double, scoring a team-high 10 points while collecting a team-best nine rebounds in the Colonials' loss at VCU ... Nikola Malesevic had a 13-point, 10-rebound, seven-assist performance in the Rams win over Dayton, followed by 19 pints and seven rebounds in the win over Duquesne ... Rhody freshman Jordan Hare shot 66.7 percent from the field and averaged 8.5 points and 6.0 rebounds in the Rams 2-0 week ... St. Bonaventure's Eric Mosley averaged 22.5 points for the week, including a career-high 30 in Bonaventure's three-point overtime loss at Richmond on Saturday ... Cody Ellis scored 18 points in Saint Louis' win over Charlotte, putting him just 15 points shy of 1,000 for his career ... Khalif Wyatt scored 35 points and was 15-of-15 at the line with six boards and six assists in temple's narrow loss to Duquesne, and he followed that with 24 points in the Owls win over UMass ... Juvonte Reddic hit 11-of-13 from the field to score 24 points along with 10 rebounds in VCU's win over GW ... VCU freshman Melvin Johnson had two double-figure scoring games, tallying 18 versus UMass and 11 against GW, both wins for the Rams ... Xavier freshman Semaj Christon scored 19 points and had five assists in the Musketeers' win over Fordham, followed by 17 points against Dayton.
