>>Duquesne beat West Virginia (60-56), Dayton won at Alabama, (81-76), Temple beat Villanova (76-61) and La Salle beat Penn State (82-57) recently, giving the A-10 13 total wins this season
over "big six" programs. Last year, the Atlantic 10 had 28 wins versus big six schools, including three in the postseason.
>>Continuing on the big wins theme, the Atlantic 10 has taken down three ranked opponents so far this season. Saint Joseph's began the fun with an overtime win over No. 20 Notre Dame.
Butler stole a win over No. 9 North Carolina and VCU had the headline on Thanksgiving by defeating No. 19 Memphis.
>>Temple beat Towson Wednesday to improve to 7-1. The Owls got off to one of there best starts in school history, but a loss to No. 2 Duke spoiled the perfect season. La Salle is 6-1, the best Explorer
start since the 2005-06 team started 7-0. Combined, Temple and La Salle at 13-2 this season and when you add Saint Joseph's into the mix, the A-10 Philly schools are a combined 18-5.

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) - Kenny Kadji scored 17 points and Durand Scott had 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead Miami to a 77-46 win over previously unbeaten Charlotte on Friday night
The Hurricanes never trailed as they built an 11-point halftime lead and outscored the 49ers 14-6 in the opening 5:27 of the second half. Rion Brown's 3-pointer with 14:33 remaining ended the spurt and gave Miami a 47-28 advantage
The loss snapped a nine-game winning streak at the start of the season for the 49ers (9-1)
Charlotte got to within 52-39 on Victor Nickerson's 3-pointer with 9:46 left. But Miami, which played its first game in 13 days, ran off 14 unanswered points in the next 5:26
Chris Braswell recorded his seventh double-figure scoring game of the season with 13 points off the bench. With 13 points, he moved past Diego Guevara (1997-01) into 17th place on the 49ers all-time scoring list 1212 points
Kadji's two free throws with 4:20 remaining capped the run and gave the Hurricanes a 66-39 lead.
