Gip Hoagland Named Head Golf Coach At Dayton

6/17/2009 - Dayton has promoted assistant coach Gip Hoagland to be the new head men's golf coach. Hoagland is a PGA Professional and will replace Chris Hale, who stepped down from the head position and will assume a role as the volunteer assistant coach for the Flyers.

Nagy shot one-over par for the round and one-under over 54 holes to win the individual title and Charlotte finished 11 strokes ahead of runner-up Xavier to capture its fourth consecutive Atlantic 10 Golf Championship on Apr. 24-26...he carded 71-69-72 (212), which included nine birdies over the three days to earn an All-Conference distinction for the third consecutive year.

Fontaine carded an even-par 71 on the third and final round of the A-10 Championship to finish third overall...finished with a total of 217 (+4) over the 54-hole tournament and also shot a one-over 72 on day one, followed by a second round 74...made seven birdies on the weekend.

MacLean fired a 74 on Sunday to finish fourth overall at plus-six for the Championship and became the fifth player in program history and first since Andy Connell in 2006 to garner Most Outstanding Rookie honors...his total of 73-72-74 (219) marked the best finish of any Xavier player.
