NEWPORT NEWS, Va.—The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Rhode Island junior Branden Chicorka and St. Bonaventure senior Kevin Lewis Co-Golfers of the Week and freshman Raoul Menard of Charlotte the golf Rookie of the Week the league announced Thursday. The awards were presented for events played April 11 - April 17.                                                          

Chicorka fired an even-par 71 during Sunday's second and final round of the Rhody Invitational.  He finished in second place overall for the tournament, with a two-round total of 147.  The Enfield, Conn., native opened the tournament with a first round 76.                                 

Lewis closed the Manor Intercollegiate with a one-under 71 to lead the Bonnies to a fifth-place finish, their best finish since September. A Henreitta, N.Y., native, he opened with a one-over 73 on Friday, and shot a two-over 74 in the second round before closing with his best round of the tournament on Saturday. He totaled 218 to finish fifth in the 54-hole tournament.

Menard led the 49ers to its sixth top-five showing of the year at the Hawkeye Invitational.  A native of Ange-Gardier, Quebec City, Menard shot one-over par 217 in the wind-blown event to tie for 16th and lead the 49ers to a fourth-place finish. His final round of one-under par 71 was the fifth-best round of the day. This marks his fourth A-10 Rookie of the Week award this season.
