WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Charlotte shot the second-best round of the day to climb up the ladder and finish tied for eighth at the 2008 NCAA Golf Championships. Sophomore Corey Nagy, who shot one-over par 73, finished with a four-day totals of +11 to tie for 16th individually.

Nagy's 16th-place finish is the second-best ever by a 49er at the NCAA National Championships. Andrew DiBitetto finished tied for 9th, last year.

The 49ers, who were one of just seven teams that have reached the final day at the NCAA Championships (Top 15) in each of the last two years cop their second straight Top 10 finish. Last year, the 49ers placed tied for 3rd.

UCLA won the National Championship at +42. The 49ers tied for 8th with Georgia at +58.
