NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Robbie Kristo of Saint Louis and Emmanuel Temeh of Saint Joseph’s were named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s Soccer Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, as announced by the league office on Monday. Both Kristo and were recognized for games played during the week of Oct. 8-14.

Kristo scored both game-winning goals in a pair of come-from-behind Saint Louis wins over the weekend, including a 3-2 thriller against No. 21 VCU. The local St. Louis product notched the golden goal in double overtime as the Billikens topped the nationally-ranked Rams on Friday (Oct. 12), before scoring in the final 10 minutes on a corner kick to give SLU the 2-1 victory over the visiting Spiders on Sunday (Oct. 14). He currently leads the SLU roster with seven goals on the season.

Temeh came off the bench to score twice and pace Saint Joseph’s to its first A-10 win of the season, a 3-2 overtime victory against Rhode Island (Oct. 14). The Trenton, N.J., native notched his first collegiate goal at the 33:40 mark of the first half, just 1:27 after subbing into the game. SJU entered overtime tied 2-2, before Temeh netted his second goal of the game just 1:38 into the extra session.

2012 A-10 MEN'S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP
The newly expanded eight-team A-10 Men's Soccer Championship will be held Nov. 8-11 at Charlotte's Transamerica Field. The 49ers will host the Championship for the second time in three years and third time overall since joining the Atlantic 10 during the 2005-06 academic year.
