Karen Elsner Davey is the all-time leading scorer in Richmond women's basketball history with 2,367 points in her four-year career as a Spider. Davey was inducted into the Richmond Hall of Fame in
1992 and still holds 14 individual records. She holds records for most points in a game (39), season (646) and career (2,367) and also ranks first for rebounds in a game (23), season (347) and career (1,244). Davey still holds the highest scoring average in a four year career at 21.5 ppg and made a program-best 16 field goals in game. She was recognized in a banner-raising ceremony for her distinguished career in a pregame ceremony in 2009. A two-time captain, she amassed a 64-48 record during her years as a Spider and was a member of the 1982 VAIAW II State champion team. She resides in Manassas, Va. |
