In 93 appearances over four seasons with the Minutewomen, Sue Peters became the all-time leading scorer in programhistory behind 1,858 career points. Peters success also helped the Southbridge, Mass., native reach the top spot for scoring average (20.0), fi eld goals made (757) and field goals attempts (1,618) in program history.

In addition to being the career leader, Peters also notched the top mark in single-season points with 587 during the 1978-79 campaign, which also ranks as the highest single-season scoring average in the UMass record books at 23.5 points per game.

A threat all over the court, Peters grabbed 546 career rebounds for an average of 5.9 per contest, while dishing out 361 assists, an average of 3.9 per appearance. For her efforts with the Minutewomen, Peters was twice named a two-time Kodak Region I All-American and National Scouting Association All-American - the first Minutewoman to earn All-America honors.

Peters was also tabbed the first CoSIDA Academic All-American, AIAW Kodak Region I Player of the Year and AIAW Kodak All-Region honoree in the history of UMass women's basketball.
