SATURDAY’S (1/19) RESULTS
St. Bonaventure 61, Massachusetts 49
The St. Bonaventure women's basketball team (8-10, 1-2 A-10) defeated UMass (3-15, 1-2) by score of 61-49 to earn its first Atlantic 10 win and first win of 2013. Alaina Walker finished with a career-high 21 points on 6-8 shooting while also grabbing a team-high eight rebounds. Doris Ortega dropped a season-best 19 points, 15 of which came in the second half. Katie Healy scored six points and grabbed seven rebounds.

GAME NOTES: The Bonnies snapped their second four-game losing streak this season and picked up their first win of 2013. St. Bonaventure avoided starting 0-3 in the A-10 for the first time since the 2007-08 season. The Bonnies improve to 8-1 when holding their opponent below 40 percent shooting. Alaina Walker is the second Bonnies player to score 20+ points this season (CeCe Dixon 2x), however it's the first time the Bonnies picked up the win when a player went for 20+. Saturday was also the eighth time Walker led the Brown and White in rebounding this season, the most of any player.
