Dayton Moves Up to No. 12 in Both Women's Basketball Polls

DAYTON, OHIO -- For the 15th consecutive week, University of Dayton women’s basketball maintained a spot in the AP Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Polls. The Flyers continue to break program records and moved up two spots to No. 12 in both polls.  

The  Flyers (24-1, 12-0 A-10) tied the program record for Atlantic 10 Conference wins after victories over Duquesne, St. Bonaventure  and Temple last week. UD moved up to No. 12 with 492 points in the AP Top 25, reaching its highest ranking in school history.

The Flyers moved up two spots today in the Coaches Poll to No. 12, breaking a record for their highest ranking ever. The received 411 points in the coaches vote.

Dayton has gone unbeaten at home this season, and improved its home court winning streak to 12 straight, which is the eighth best in NCAA Division I women’s basketball.

The Flyers are one of just four teams in NCAA Division I women’s basketball with just one loss this season; the others are all in the top five of the latest polls (Baylor, Notre Dame and Duke).
