Richmond Set To Play In Cancun Challenge

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- The Richmond women's basketball team is set to play in the Cancun Challenge in Cancun, Mexico Nov. 22-24. The Cancun Challenge will take place at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico. The resort is an all-inclusive, ocean-front resort property that provides all food and beverages. Games will be played in the ballroom of the resort. The six-team tournament is comprised of teams from the following schools: Richmond, Wisconsin-Green Bay, James Madison, Missouri, Minnesota and Wichita State. Richmond will play three games in the Challenge, with the first contest commencing on Nov. 22 against Minnesota 1 p.m. ET. The Spiders continue action against Wichita State Fri. Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. ET. Action culminates Saturday, Nov. 24 against Wisconsin-Green Bay at 3:30 p.m. ET. Each game will pit the Spiders against a first-time opponent.
