#18/19 NEBRASKA 54, TEMPLE 39
Despite holding strong defensively for much of the second half, the first-half deficit was too big to overcome for Temple women's basketball as the Owls dropped a 64-39 decision to #18/19 Nebraska (2-0) on Sunday afternoon at the Devaney Center. Freshman Erica Covile led Temple (1-1) with 10 points, while the Cornhuskers' Jordan Hooper recorded a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds.

FORDHAM 58, CORNELL 50
A win is a win, no matter how it comes.  Following the team's solid win over Albany on Friday night, the Fordham women's basketball team fought through some not-so-pretty moments on Sunday, but still found a way to pull out a 58-50 win over the Cornell Big Red at Newman Arena in Ithaca, N.Y.

LOYOLA CHICAGO 56, LA SALLE 50
Brittany Wilson scored a game-best 22 points and La Salle rallied to within three, but Loyola Chicago held on for the 56-50 decision in the Explorers' season opener at Tom Gola Arena on Sunday afternoon.

PRINCETON 69, SAINT JOSEPH'S 59
The Saint Joseph's women's basketball team dropped its season-opening contest to reigning Ivy League champs Princeton, 69-59, Sunday afternoon at Hagan Arena. The Hawks were paced by junior Ilze Gotfrida's 14 points and a 13 points, 10 rebound double-double from redshirt senior Chatilla van Grinsven, but couldn't overcome an early second half deficit.

NORTH CAROLINA 62, DUQUESNE 58
North Carolina rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to defeat Duquesne, 62-58, Sunday afternoon at Carmichael Arena.
