The Spiders overcame a halftime deficit and hung on late to beat Wichita State,49-46, Friday at the Cancun Challenge. The Spiders improved to 3-3, while Wichita State fell to 2-3.

Saint Mary's 85, Butler 74
Sophomore Taylor Schippers scored 27 points - 18 in the first half - but St. Mary's held off the Butler women's basketball team 85-74 at McKeon Pavilion on Friday. Junior Daress McClung added 17 points and seven rebounds.

No. 8/9 Georgia 84, St. Bonaventure 48
The St. Bonaventure women's basketball team (3-2) dropped the second straight game this season to No. 8/9 Georgia (6-0) 84-48 in the first game of the New Mexico Thanksgiving Tournament Friday night at "The Pit."

Dayton 68, Buffalo 44
The University of Dayton women's basketball team broke open a tight game in the second half, turning a six-point halftime lead into a a 68-44 win over Buffalo Friday in the first round of the Dayton Flyer Marriott Classic. Dayton, ranked 24th in the latest AP poll and 25th in the coaches poll, improved to 5-0, while Buffalo fell to 1-4.

Pacific 62, Fordham 40
Despite double digit scoring efforts once again from Erin Rooney and Marah Strickland, the Rams dropped the decision 62-40. With the loss, the Rams move to 4-1, while the Tigers remain unbeaten at 5-0.
