The Xavier women's basketball team dropped a 59-52 decision at UNCW Thursday night at the Seahawks' Trask Coliseum. Senior Tyeasha Moss led the Musketeers with 17 points while freshman Lakeisha Crouch grabbed a game-high eight rebounds in her first collegiate appearance. READ MORE

Saint Joseph's 74, Boston College 57
Hitting 13-of-22 from the floor (59.1 percent) and 15-of-16 from the foul line in the second half, the Saint Joseph's women's basketball team pulled away from Boston College midway through the final stanza to earn a 74-57 win Thursday evening before a televised audience at Hagan Arena. The Hawks, who improved to 8-4 overall and 6-0 at home this year, got a team-high 17 points from senior Michelle Baker to lead four SJU players in double figures. READ MORE

Sherrie Session scored a team-high 17 points, but it was not enough, as Rhode Island fell, 67-56, at Lehigh, in the first round of the Christmas City Classic.
