Saint Joseph's Rowe and La Salle's Tettelbach Earn Field Hockey Weekly Honors

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Saint Joseph's Ellen Rowe had a hand in four of the Hawks' five goals this weekend while La Salle's Maddy Tettelbach netted two goals in her first ever collegiate game, earning each Atlantic 10 Conference Player and Rookie of the Week Field Hockey honors, respectively. Rowe, a senior for the Hawks, netted her team's only two goals against undefeated Ohio in a 7-2 loss. Later, in a 4-3 loss to Towson, the Selbyville, Del., native scored a goal and tallied an assist. Her seven points for the season tops the squad.
Tettelbach's first ever game with the Explorers was a multi-goal performance-her first of two goals proving to be the game-winner after breaking 1-1 tie against Georgetown. La Salle would go on to win 4-1. The freshman from Fairfax Station, Va., is tied for first on her squad in goals with two.
