NEWPORT NEWS, Va.- Richmond's Katelin Peterson scored three goals and an assist in a 2-0 week for the Spiders earning the senior Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Player of the Week honors. Fellow Spider Rebecca Barry and La Salle's Colleen Kempf each netted two goals against conference rival Saint Joseph to earn Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Co-Rookie of the Week honors.

Peterson's 11th goal of the season and the 42nd of her career came as the game-winner in a 1-0 win over Radford, moving her into fourth on Richmond's all-time career list in goals. Earlier in the week, the Escondido, Calif., native scored two goals and had an assist in the Spiders' 6-3 conference win at Saint Joseph's. Peterson is now fourth at Richmond in points (108), goals (42) and tied for fourth in assists (24).

Barry is in the top-10 in the league in points in conference games with seven points in four conference games. The freshman from Limerick, Ireland, scored two goals in Richmond's 6-3 win over Saint Joseph's on Friday, one of which was the game-winner.

Kempf scored the first two goals of her career to lead La Salle past conference foe Saint Joseph's, 2-1. The rookie, who had only attempted 5 shots on the season coming into the game, came off the bench in the second half as a sub and netted both of her squad's goals for the important conference win.
