Massachusetts Overcomes Temple In Overtime to Advance to Championship Game
Nov. 5, 2010
PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- In a defensive battle, host-team Temple fell to #1 Massachusetts in overtime, 1-0, off the goal of Lindsay Bowman in the 73rd minute. The low-scoring game was not for lack of offensive attack. Temple goalkeeper Sarah Dalrymple recorded 10 saves in the contest, six of which came in the first half. Massachusetts recorded 21 shots, 11 of which were on goal, while the Minutewomen's defense held the Owls to just three shots. The Minutewomen will face #2 Lock Haven in the Atlantic 10 Championship at 2pm on Saturday, November 6. The game will be streamed live on www.atlantic10.com. The winner will host the Northern Pacific Field Hockey Conference (NorPac) in an NCAA play-in game on Tuesday, November 9, at 1pm to earn a berth to the NCAA tournament.
