Ten A-10 Field Hockey Players Named to NFHCA All-Region Teams

2006 Division I NFHCA All-Region Teams

Philadelphia, PA - Ten Atlantic 10 field hockey players were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Region teams. The A-10 was represented on three of the five regions with senior Nicole Antonini of Saint Joseph's and junior Alli Lokey of Temple earning Midatlantic First-Team honors. The two are now eligible for national All-America honors.

Antonini earned Atlantic 10 First-Team All-Conference honors and finished third in the league in scoring with 15 goals and four assists for 34 points. She led her squad to the A-10 Championship title game before losing 3-2 to No. 17 Richmond.

Lokey was also a member of the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First-Team and was Temple's main scoring threat with 10 goals and four assists on the season (24 points). Lokey ranked seventh in scoring in the A-10.

Maureen Casserly and Lauren Luft of Saint Joseph's, Allison Geiger of La Salle and Megan Hannahoe and Erin Hanshue of Temple were named to the Midatlantic Second-Team. Rhode Island's Jamie Adams and Mary Jean Britt, the 2006 A-10 Defensive Player of the Year, were named to the Northeast Region Second-Team, while the A-10 Offensive Player of the Year, Shannon Taylor of Richmond, earned Second-Team honors in the South Region.
