LEXINGTON, Ky. - The AVCA Poll was released Monday and the University of Dayton women's volleyball team jumped ahead two spots to No. 18 this week. For the 53rd straight week, the Flyers have either been ranked or received votes.

Dayton is 12-4 on the year and undefeated in Atlantic 10 play at 4-0. The Flyers reached as high as No. 10 this season and have been ranked each week since moving into the Top 25. They are also the only A-10 team ranked in the poll.

All four of Dayton's losses have come against teams in the Top 25 rankings. The Flyers are ranked just ahead of two of those opponents in No. 19 Ohio State and No. 20 Western Kentucky.

Last weekend the Flyers swept La Salle and Temple on the road. Dayton will use fall break to practice before hosting conference rival Xavier on Monday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. (ET) in the Frericks Center.
