NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Dayton senior Rachel Krabacher and Duquesne sophomore Arielle Love its volleyball Co-Offensive Players of the Week, and VCU freshman Martina Samadan its Defensive Player of the Week. Samadan also earned the league's Rookie of the Week honor. The A-10 announced the awards Monday for matches played Oct. 8-14.

Krabacher averaged 4.5 kills per set and hit .417 to lead Dayton to three A-10 victories last week, keeping the Flyers in first place and perfect in league play with wins over Xavier (3-1), Fordham (3-0) and Rhode Island (3-0). An outside hitter from Cincinnati, she registered 25 kills and hit .442 versus third-place XU. She also tallied 11 digs in that match to record a double-double. She had 10 kills against both Fordham and Rhode Island, hitting .333 and .450 respectively. She also had just five hitting errors last week in the 10 sets.

Love led Duquesne to a pair of A-10 victories over Temple (3-0) and La Salle (3-0) with a 4.83 kills per set average while also hitting .440. She scored 14 kills against Temple with a .458 hitting percentage. The middle hitter from Maple Heights, Ohio then registered 15 kills while hitting .423 versus La Salle. She had just seven errors in 50 total attacks to keep Duquesne in second place, just one game back from league-leading Dayton.

Samadan earned both the defensive and rookie awards after registering a phenomenal 3.29 blocks per set. Her efforts, which also included a 2.29 kills per set and .310 hitting percentage, led VCU to wins over Saint Louis (3-1) and Butler (3-0). The middle blocker from Split, Croatia, tallied 14 blocks against SLU and followed with nine blocks against Butler. Her per-set average in blocks for the week would lead the nation by over 1.5 blocks per set if it were a season-long stat. She also had three aces, nine kills and hit .259 against the Billikens and had three aces, seven kills and hit .400 against Butler.
