It is the most first team honorees for the Flyers in program history. Dayton has had a first team representative in each of the last 11 seasons – since 2001, while this is the second consecutive season that Xavier has had a player named to the All-Region Team. Krabacher, the 2011 Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, led the conference in kills per set and points per set all season – placing second in both categories among Northeast Region players. The Cincinnati, Ohio native ranks 16th in kills per set and 20th in points per set. With a career-high 500 kills this season, she became the first Flyer since 2005 to record 500 or more total kills in one season. Krabacher is a four-time A-10 Offensive Player of the Week and led the Flyers with 13 double-doubles. In addition to her on-court honors, Krabacher was named A-10 Academic All-Conference and to the Capital One Academic All-District V Second Team. Campbell is currently one of two players in the nation to rank in the top 15 in hitting percentage and blocks per set. The Versailles, Ohio native ranks fourth in the nation in hitting percentage and 12th in blocks per set. Campbell is a four-time A-10 Defensive or Offensive Player of the Week and features 15 matches with five or more blocks. Her .412 hitting percentage is the second-highest in program history during a single-season. This season Campbell was also picked on the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team, Atlantic 10 All-Championship Team and the Capital One Academic All-District V First Team.
Selsky, the 2011 Atlantic 10 Setter of the Year, guided the Flyer offense to set a program-record .280 hitting percentage – which ranks sixth in the nation and first among Northeast Region teams. Selsky led the A-10 in assists per set and was named to the A-10 All-Conference First Team and All-Championship Team. The Manhattan Beach, Calif., native was the first Division I player to record a triple-double this season with 10 kills, 13 digs and 44 assists at No. 7 Illinois. Selsky has nine double-doubles, along with 11 matches with four or more blocks. Brown was named to the Atlantic 10 First Team All-Conference and All-Tournament team after leading the team in kills with 317 (3.37 kill/set). The Mineral City, Ohio native recorded a team-best seven double doubles during the season, including her 13 kill-16 dig effort in the A-10 Championship match vs. Dayton. Brown notched double-digit kills on 16 occasions, including three matches in which she had over 20 kills. Xavier has competed in Division I since 1983 and this is the first time in program history that the Musketeers have had two different AVCA All-Northeast Region Team members in consecutive seasons. The AVCA Northeast Region is made up of teams from the American East Conference, Atlantic 10 Conference, BIG EAST Conference, Ivy League and Patriot League. Each all-region team is made up of 14 players and six honorable mention players. As first team all-region selections, Campbell, Krabacher, Selsky and Brown qualify for AVCA All-America honors which will be announced on Dec. 14. |
